Usually ready in 5+ daysFor grey, oxidized, or badly neglected teak that’s deeply stained.
This full restoration service removes years of UV damage, mildew, and surface buildup. After deep cleaning and sanding, we apply Semco Sealer to protect and restore the teak’s rich, natural tone.
Why Semco?
Teak is one of the most beautiful, durable woods on the water—but only if it’s treated right. We don’t use oil that invites mold. We don’t slap on varnish that cracks after one season. We use Semco Teak Sealer because it does what other products can’t: it protects from the inside out. It dries fast, breathes with the wood, and holds that warm golden hue without shine or stickiness. After we strip, scrub, and sand your teak to raw perfection, Semco locks it in and keeps it stunning for the season, without turning your deck into a science project.
Step 1: We begin with a full rinse to remove surface contaminants, followed by a thorough scrub using a TSP, water solution, and soft bristle deck brushes to break down surface oils, mildew, and grime.
Step 2: We complete a second scrub using the same TSP solution to lift any remaining discoloration and fully restore the teak to its natural tone.
Step 3: We rinse completely and allow the wood to dry before proceeding to sanding.
Step 4: We sand the entire teak surface using orbital sanders to smooth rough grain, eliminate raised fibers from chemical lifting, and prepare the teak for proper sealer absorption.
Step 5: After sanding, we wash and rinse the deck using Star Brite Sea Safe Wash, removing all residual dust and chemical residue to ensure the surface is neutral and ready to seal.
Step 6: Once dry, we apply two coats of Semco Teak Sealer using foam brushes. The first coat saturates the grain and locks in the restored tone. The second, applied 30–60 minutes later, ensures even coverage, rich color, and season-long protection.
Step 7: After curing, we inspect for missed areas, wipe away any residue, and review grain transitions for smoothness and color consistency.
